Are You In A Season Of Waiting
Apr 24, 2022 Season 1 Episode 1

Are you in a season of waiting? I believe we all are, whether you are waiting to get your hair done, waiting on a spouse, waiting to build a house or waiting to buy a dog...we're all waiting on something. This can be a very hard season for so many people, I know I have struggled over the years in the waiting myself. But I also believe this is the most important season because we get to experience Isiah 40:31 when we wait properly (I'll unpack more of that in this episode)

Lately, I have had the opportunity to study the word, "Wait" and I've learned that the Hebrew word for wait is "Qavah". Qavah means to wait actively with anticipation, hopefully watching for God to act, to intertwine, binding together, or to plait (like the plaiting of the hair). I also learned that qavah is active and not passive, which means that we should be doing something as we wait. If you are a believer you should be intertwining Jesus in every portion of your life as you wait. We see this word qavah used in Isiah 40:31 and I will unpack what this means in this episode. Also, I share a secret at the end of this episode that I believe will excite you on the journey as we go, so be sure to stay until the end!

Thanks for listening to the very first episode of "The Come Like A Child", podcast with Ashley Minor.
